IMPROVING THE LOAD CAPACITY OF THE 220KV SON LA – VIET TRI TRANSMISSION LINE

The project to increase the load capacity of the 220kV Son La – Viet Tri transmission line was started on the morning of March 30 by the Power Transmission Project Management Board (under the National Power Transmission Corporation) and contractors. in Son La.

According to the plan, the work will be completed and put into use by the end of 2022. The project is implemented on the existing 220kV Son La – Viet Tri transmission line passing through Son La and Phu Tho provinces with a length of about approx. 167km.

The project has a total investment of more than 357 billion VND, invested by the National Power Transmission Corporation.

Some items in the project such as: replacing the existing ACSR 400/52 steel core aluminum conductor with a composite core superheater with a cross section of 421mm  aluminum or equivalent, especially for the crossing of the Red River using composite core superheater wire. enhanced section aluminum section 524mm 2  or equivalent.
